Vet Assistant Comforts Rescued Pit Bull After She Gets Surgery

For rescue dogs, life can be a struggle. Even when they’re rescued and waiting for a home, it can still get pretty lonely and confusing for them. And if they have to undergo medical treatment, that can be especially distressing for them. Which is why it was so wonderful to see a video of Dennis Moses, a surgical assistant at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, lovingly comfort a pit bull who had undergone surgery to spay her.

It was truly a tender moment.

And it was clear that the little pitty thoroughly enjoyed her time being cradled in his arms. She probably needed plenty of love and reassurance during such a scary time. Spaying and neutering pets is extremely important, which is why rescues will often do it as soon as they take in a stray animal.

But it’s still something that can be a frightening experience, particularly if the animal is new and still hasn’t fully adjusted to their life in a shelter or rescue. That is why it’s so touching to watch Moses go above and beyond to make this little rescue dog feel loved and secure. Kindness towards animals is something that should always be given in spades.
